Chan “Oli” Chon Kien, who has captained the Invictus Gaming roster for four years, will be the new position five player for Talon Esports.

The 26-year-old’s signing was announced by the Southeast Asian organization today. The former IG captain will be the last of Talon’s two changes for the upcoming season, after the team parted ways with Damien “kpii” Chok Sau-jing and Brizio “Hyde” Budiana.

Oli’s signing is seemingly a statement of intent for Talon’s continued desire to stay in the Dota 2 scene. With Fnatic’s Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong Talon’s other marquee signing, there suddenly seems to be a big influx of known leaders and captains from the SEA region.

While Oli is Malaysian, he’s best known for his stint at Chinese organization Invictus Gaming, captaining the organization to a victory at the Singapore Major.

The 26-year-old brings championship pedigree to a young, talented squad, who managed to make it to The International in their first year — though they bowed out in the group stage.
