Gusion is undoubtedly one of the toughest heroes to learn and master in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

His abilities require quick reflexes and precise aiming. As a result, many new and casual players tend to avoid him altogether.

However, pro player and content creator Jang “Hoon” Seong-hun has a different take.

Known as one of the best Gusion players in the world, he believes that the assassin hero is actually easy to play, provided you follow these tips.

In an exclusive interview with ONE Esports, Hoon shared some of the common problems players face when learning the assassin hero.

According to him, the main problem that players face when learning the hero is their perceived notion that you have to be fast all the time.

“They watch so many TikTok videos and then they wanna be just fast. But what’s the point of being fast if you miss every skill you cast?” he said.

He advised players to prioritize practicality over flashiness, emphasizing the need to land skills effectively rather than mindlessly rushing just to get a kill.

Hoon also underscored the significance of recognizing the hero’s weak early game, cautioning against going for kills before reaching level four.

“You gotta understand, before level four, Gusion is like worse than Nana. So you have to be really, really careful,” he added.

Additionally, he highlighted the strategic use of Gusion’s ultimate ability, Iridescence, in team fights. He suggests that players shouldn’t use it on one enemy, as this could lead to losing the fight.

“Sometimes all you gotta do is use Swordspike and Shadow Slaughter and then the enemy backline will die,” he said.

“He has so much damage. So instead of just wasting all your skills on one hero, you have to diversify and wait for the right opportunity.”
