The North American League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) is undergoing significant restructuring and major changes with the departure of Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians.
As a result, with eight franchised teams remaining in the league, LCS Spring 2024 is poised to present a different ecosystem in season 14.
Beyond the reduction in the number of teams, esports organizations have executed huge LCS roster changes, incorporating rookies and academy players into their lineups. This wave of adjustments sets the stage for a new era in the LCS.

Making huge LCS roster changes in 2024, 100 Thieves bids farewell to standout players Can “Closer” Çelik and Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng. This marks the beginning of a new chapter as the esports organization embraces changes by placing their trust in a lineup dominated by academy and rookie talent.
One notable adjustment involves top laner Rayan “Sniper” Shoura, transitioning from a substitute role to the starting roster for LCS Spring 2024. Sniper’s journey with 100 Thieves began in 2021, progressing through the ranks from the 100 Thieves amateur LoL team to the academy team, the sister team, and ultimately securing a spot in the main lineup.
Joining him on this roster are two promising rookies: former Gen.G academy mid laner Lim “Quid” Hyeon-seung and former CLG academy bot laner Brandon “Meech” Choi.
Seasoned players Kim “River” Dong-woo and Bill “Eyla” Nguyen are onboard to guide and assist these rookies in finding their stride in the LCS Spring 2024.
Cloud9 is maintaining continuity in its LCS roster for 2024 by extending the contracts of three key players from the previous season: Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami, Robert “Blaber” Huang, and Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol.

In the bot lane, the young duo of Fahad “Massu” Abdulmalek and Alan “Busio” Cwalina is poised to showcase their potential and contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming season.
Immortals is revamping its player roster, centering the rebuild around bot laner Edward “Tactical” Ra, who has extended his contract with the organization.
