Role Dynamics in Pro Gaming: Flexibility & Specialization

In professional tournaments, pro players are generally proficient in playing multiple roles. However, they typically stick to their main role and hero pool for the sake of team synergy and drafting advantage.



Constantly switching roles can be disorienting for the team, so players usually focus on their primary role. There are exceptions to this rule when the hero pools of players are complementary, allowing for role swaps in certain situations.

For example, in the case of Blacklist International, Veenus and Hadji would occasionally swap roles to accommodate specific draft requirements. Overall, while pro players have the ability to play multiple roles, they usually specialize in one to ensure optimal performance and coordination within the team.
