Exciting news from the Chinese Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports scene!

Chinese team XYG signed Filipino player and two-time MPL Philippines champion, Kiel “Kielvj” Cruzem, Moonton Games announced on Weibo.

This marks a notable milestone as Kielvj becomes one of two Filipinos to represent a Chinese squad for the first time in the China Pre-Season Invitational: Stage 1.

Meanwhile, M5 Wild Card team Keep Best Gaming has signed Filipino import Tracy Danielle “National” Alerta Damas, a former player of Cambodia’s Team SV last year.

Both Keep Best Gaming and XYG, along with six other squads, compete in the pre-invitational, which kicks off on March 21, 2024.

This initiative by Moonton Games is among the few steps taken to establish an MLBB esports scene in the region, following the announcement late last year that the game received approval in China.

Kielvj, who last played for Cambodia’s BURN X Flash in the Games of the Future 2024, is popularly known as one of the players who led Sunsparks to back-to-back championships in MPL PH Seasons 4 and 5.
